Please see details in next section below this. Note that this site has most recently been updated as of Wed. 5/13/26, looking toward our being part of the May 16 San Leandro City Wide Yard Sale, but will have a lot of updating done soon.

We're on the list again for the San Leandro City Wide Yard Sale.  Please come see us first if you can, but there are often about 200 such sales going on the same day and during about the same hours as us.  Our items being sold include ladies' boots and maybe some shoes (most used, many in box, size mosly 7 1/2 - 8), outdoor gear (tents, chairs, etc.), maybe 3 each of new Dell computer keyboards and mice, hand tools including files and screwdrivers, handsaws, etc. plus a few power tools) and a lot more including a few high quality Dell 24" monitors with built in webcams, and both HDMI and DisplayPort inputs!  We're just using a template provided by the hosting service for the general layout of this web site.  We'll be updating text and images regularly and hope to have this website in much more complete form by some time Wednesday, April 13, 2026, the day the Castro Valley Times is published and 1 day before the San Leandro Times is published (our ad in both papers points to this web site).  ALMOST FORGOT:  WE HAVE OVER 100 TIES INCLUDING "LONG" AND "BOW" VARIETIES.  Don't forget Father's day is coming up soon, in early June.  Give Dad that "classic" Father's Day present -- a tie!!!!!!!!!!!!

We will keep adding photos including once we're set up on sale day and it's all spread out!

In the meantime we'll put up some saved photos we happen to have of items to be sold on sale day, and may add some photos from prior events to give you an idea of what our sale will look like once it's set up.  When you are near our address -- it's a corner lot, with the cross street being Kenilworth -- keep an eye out for one or more more strings of "pennants"  -- you know those triangular flags you see on boats -- running from a utility pole at the corner, toward our front porch -- to help you know that you've found us!

Old darkroom "Safe lights" dating likely to the 1950's.  We also have some heavy duty stage lights (the kind that are often clamped onto poles spanning the ceiling area of a theater); these generally have fully functional halogen lamps (easy to buy new ones; I'm guessing LED replacements are available, at least up to a certain brightness level).  Pretty cool looking "accent pieces"?  Most photography stuff I have comes from the 50's to the 70's and includes mostly film cameras and darkroom equipment.  I do have some digital cameras that probably won't be part of this sale, but feel free to email me with your "wish list" and we can talk. PS we haven't had much luck selling the safelights so won't have many out this time, but we'll have a lot of the theatrical lights on display.  Also the theatrical lights usually require a "keyed" outlet (meaning should be on a 20 amp or higher rated circuit) rather than the traditional household type. ALSO SEEN BELOW:  A big tubful of beer (mostly) and wine (a bit) making equipment.  Looking for a buyer for all of it -- and for the right price I'll throw in the tub with lid too!

Here are 2 out of 3 shelving units full of shoes that I bought about 2 years ago at an estate sale, which is where they were when I bought them as shown in the photo (I'm still using the shelves!).  I gave away many of them to a program that helps women built professional outfits for job seeking.  There were about 1/3 that I either gave to a local nonprofit thrift store that supports the George Mark Chldren's House for seriously ill kids, or disposed of because they weren't in great shape.  And I sold some shoes (did not put boots out on display yet) last year at the 2 allowed yard sales per year we had here in 2025. But that still leaves about one of those big black 27 gallon tubs you see at Costco, in our case now mostly full of women's shoes and boots, mostly in boxes -- likely at least 10 pairs!  We also have at least 10 clear plastic shoeboxes we'll sell for $2 each (less if you buy 3 or more at a time).  Also seen below and to the left -- several boxes of hand tools including files and more specialized items, pliers including Vise-Grip style, and more!

Photo below is of a Logitech A-00064 P/N 881-00028 USB headset with boom microphone with in-line controls such as volume and mute.  All tested using Zoom, and sanitized with rubbing alcohol. I've been using this model for years for Zoom conferences and they work very wll.  I'll have at least 2 of them available at the yard sale (have been selling them for a while; we had 10 pairs in 2025).  ALSO SEEN BELOW:  Photos including of collectible Lowell Herrero "Cat" themed mugs; NEILMED Sinus Rinse new sealed boxes for $5 ea, 3/$10 (Safeway, CVS etc sells same exact item for $10-15; I got a box of "samples" expecting powered nasal wash equipment like I'd been using for years -- but was finally wearing out -- and ended up with all these instead!)

More photos coming soon!

We will have a lot of tech, including 24" Dell high end monitors with built in webcams (and a sliding shutter for when you don't want to worry if your moinitor is watching you -- maybe hijacked by a bad actor!), and as shown in sample photos above, gigabit ethernet switches (4 port, 5 port, and 24 port).  Wired networks are in general more secure than wireless ones, and the more devices you have hooked up to a wireless network, the slower it runs.  I don't think the same is true of a wired network but feel free to check this out1  More photos coming soon.  Our goal is to add a lot of info to this website by the end of Wednesday 5 13 2026, so that those who learn of this website via the 5 14 2026 San Leandro times will see a lot of stuff!

The photo is from our 2025 sale.  We no longer have the Uvex type shown.  Couldn't figure out how to edit Uvex out of the photo so will be replacing the photo soon with one only showing encon (or crop it if we figure out how to do that).  We do have plenty of Encon type available in 2026.  The lenses are hi impact, and clear.  The body of these goggles is a bit sticky (that happens to some kinds of plastics) but can be made less so by wiping with alcohol and dusting with baking soda or powder.  That's why we're selling them for only $2.00 each; less if you buy 3 or more at once!

New text and photos coming soon

We have 5 (4 matching green plus 1 orange that is a close match to the 4) industrial quality heavy duty flip top storage tubs -- I'm pretty sure they have more capacity than the big black tubs with yellow lids that are popular items at Costco, Home Depot, Lowes, and even Staples1  I may not be able to locate it in time to bring it out for the May 16 yard sale, but I also have a matching 4 castering wheels heavy duty "flat dolly" designed to receive those green crates and turn them into a mobile storage solution.
